Happiness is free

Mpape is the largest slum in Abuja , I visited there because of a program we had in church and I was fascinated by how cheap the food was and also the kids ! ,seeing them play around, seeing the community just being a community and everyone being happy in a place known as the biggest slum in the capital ,happiness is free ! The kids seem to peak my curiosity they was this spark in their eyes like they have seen something magical in that land ,this piece is how an mpape child sees mpape ,I could see it in their eyes, if this painting ever sales 90% is going to the kids of mpape , on my 3rd visit there I was physically present but my consciousness wasn’t because of the kind of mind bending pain I was experiencing, but when I saw the children when my feet touched the land I became grounded, I came sad and left with joy. 182.88cm x 38.1 cm iPhone sketchbook
